Annual General Meeting and
Visit to Louisbourg Historic Site
A short (20 to 30 minutes) Annual General Meeting of the Council of 3M National Teaching Fellows will take place at the McLennan Centre at Fortress Louisbourg.
A one-hour guided tour of the site follows the AGM, and includes a presentation by a senior archaeologist on ”The Saint-Marie 43″ and how a storm in 2006 exposed the corner of a stone cellar. Further digging unearthed a mass grave and enveiled a previously unknown aspect of the history of Louisbourg.
There will still be additional time for your own wanderings around the site.
Transportation to the historic site has been generously provided by the Faculty of Arts at Saint Mary's University in celebration of Shelagh Crooks, a 2013 3M National Teaching Fellow.
Details on where to catch the bus will be provided once plans have been finalized.
