This year’s Institute is offered in a blended format with two online webinars (60-90 minutes) on May 16 and June 1 and an intensive face-to-face (F2F) workshop June 23-25. The F2F workshop will take place at the end of the STLHE conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia, beginning at 3pm on the Friday and concluding at 1 pm on the Sunday. The start time of each webinar by time zone is - 10 am Pacific | 12 noon Mountain | 1 pm Eastern | 2 pm Atlantic | 2:30 NFLD.
What is an educational developer’s portfolio?
The educational developer’s portfolio (Stanley, 2001; Wright & Miller, 2000) provides a mechanism for educational developers to document, reflect upon, and use as a tool to navigate an educational development career within and across varied institutional and regional contexts. This type of portfolio provides evidence of impact of the work in which individual educational developers engage. It also provides a forum to demonstrate the beliefs and values that guide their practices and approaches to educational development.

Drawing upon their own personal, professional, and scholarly experiences as well as the tools, resources, and examples found in the first EDC Guide: The Educational Developer’s Portfolio, the facilitators (also four of the Guide authors) will work with participants toward creating a foundation for their portfolios.
