Celebrating, Connecting, and Caring for Ourselves
The Educational Developers Caucus (EDC) was founded as a community of practice with a focus on leadership, advancement, discussion and collaboration in the field of educational development.
During a difficult year, educational developers have been the driving force in supporting educators while moving their courses online. We have planned the 2021 conference for all educational developers to celebrate our accomplishments, to connect with each other, and to care for ourselves.
Educational developers now more than ever have faced rapid and profound changes. In order to meet these new challenges and pressures, we need to reimagine how we demonstrate care by prioritizing our own and others’ wellbeing. We have plenty of lived experiences from having adjusted and developed our methods for the sake of the pandemic. This virtual conference will provide the opportunity for us all to connect and share those experiences as we further ourselves as educational developers. In a time with such excessive demands, we persevered, and now we must celebrate our own and each other's accomplishments.
